<p>Dr. Paul Zakowich is an internal medicine specialist at the American International Clinic at the Novena Medical Centre Singapore. He has more than 40 years of practice experience. </p> <p>He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting adolescents and adults, vaccinations and immunisation, complete personalised check-up, corporate healthcare, health screening, family and primary healthcare, and treatment of tropical diseases and travel-related illnesses. </p> <p>He provides care to patients with auto-immune disease, heart-related conditions, ENT problems, mental health conditions, musculoskeletal problems, allergies, infections, acute medical conditions, respiratory problems, skin diseases, eye problems, and pregnancy-related conditions, among others. </p> <p>He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Connecticut in 1974 and Doctor of Medicine (MD) at New York Medical College in 1977. He then pursued his training and residency at Duke University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School in the United States. He was conferred Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) in 1980 and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS) in 1989. </p> <p>Dr. Zakowich has been in private practice in Singapore since 1983. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Emergency Physicians, and Singapore Medical Association. <p>Dr. Sam Peh is a consultant urologist with specialty interests in stone surgery, andrology, and laparoscopy. He has more than 30 years of clinical experience and is currently practicing at PanAsia Surgery Group and the American International Clinic in Singapore. </p> <p>He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract disorders and problems of the male reproductive system. He provides medical and surgical management of erectile dysfunction and male infertility and is trained in the management of kidney and prostate cancer with laparoscopic surgery. </p> <p>His other services are kidney ultrasound, adrenalectomy, total nephrectomy, extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, bladder biopsy, cystectomy, partial nephrectomy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, orchiectomy, prostate ultrasound, suprapubic catheterisation, prostate biopsy, groin lymph node excision, hydrocele repair, cystoscopy, prostatectomy, laser lithotripsy, and circumcision. </p> <p>He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the National University of Singapore, training in internal medicine at Alexandra Hospital, and subspecialty training in urology at Changi and Singapore General Hospitals and Westmead Hospital in Australia. He was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) in 1995 and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS) in 2001. </p> <p>He is a former clinical teacher at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is a member of the Singapore Medical Association, Singapore Urological Association, International College of Surgeons, and the Australian Urological Society. <p>Dr. Melvin Look is a consultant general, gastrointestinal, and laparoscopic surgeon. He holds an MBBS degree and has received training in upper gastrointestinal cancer surgery at the National Cancer Centre Hospital in Tokyo, advanced laparoscopic surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Centre in New York, and peritoneal cancer treatment at the Washington Cancer Institute, Washington DC. Prior to going into private practice, he served at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (UK) for one year as an honorary consultant in upper gastrointestinal surgery. </p> <p>Upon his return to Singapore, he joined the Centre for Gut and Liver Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Mt. Elizabeth Hospital and East Shore Hospital as a consultant general surgeon. He was also a visiting Fellow at Mount Sinai Medical Centre in New York (2001) and clinical lecturer at the National University of Singapore. He helped trained laparoscopic surgeons not just from Singapore but also from Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Hong Kong. </p> <p>Dr. Look has pioneered a number of advanced laparoscopic procedures in Southeast Asia, including hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic thyroid surgery, and Swedish adjustable gastric banding for the treatment of obesity.
