Dr. Wilson Tay established Apicare Pain Specialist clinic at Farrer Park Medical Centre as he deeply understands how pain can gravely affect the quality of life. It can drastically limit your movement, making simple daily activities such as bathing and going to work extremely difficult. Dr. Tay provides comprehensive solutions including epidural injections, pharmacotherapy, nerve blocks, rehabilitation therapy, psychological support and counseling. His goal is to provide long-lasting pain relief and help you regain your independence and maximum level of functioning as quickly as possible.
Dr. Tay also performs ultrasound-guided treatment that enables real-time needle advancement to the target area, ensuring that the medication is injected to the precise location. As it is targeted, the technique reduces the number of attempts when delivering treatment, leading to minimized procedure time and procedure-related complications. This technique is used when performing cervical nerve root block, stellate ganglion block, peripheral nerve block, caudal epidural injection, deep muscle trigger point injection, and injections for tendonitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis.
Dr. Tay’s qualifications include:
