Dr. Chia Kok Hoong is an experienced general surgeon with subspecialty interests in vascular, cancer, and [kidney transplant](https://www.docdoc.com/info/condition/kidney-transplant) surgery. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of blood clotting disorders, renal artery diseases, varicose veins, and aneurysms. He also provides emergency treatment for ruptured aneurysms, vascular injury, and trauma. In addition, he is highly experienced in the surgical treatment of colorectal diseases, including haemorrhoids, colon and rectal cancers, and polyps, among others. He completed his MBBS degree at the National University of Singapore and training in general medicine and surgery at Singapore General and Alexandra Hospitals. He then pursued his subspecialty training in vascular and renal surgery at Singapore General and Tan Tock Seng Hospitals as well as his fellowship training in endovascular surgery and renal transplantation at Monash University in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSed, 1991) and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS, 2000). He is currently practicing at the Endoscopy, Veins & Piles Centre, which is conveniently located at #1 Farrer Park Station Road in Singapore as well as HC Thyroid Hernia & General Surgery Centre on Thomson Road, The Endoscopy & Piles Centre on Hougang Avenue, and Lai Endoscopy & Colorectal Surgery at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre.
