Dr. Ramakant Bembde is a highly experienced Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon who has pioneered many cosmetic surgical techniques in central Maharashtra. He is also the only Project Director and Active Partner of Humanitarian Work under Smile Train Project USA in the region. Under this project, he provides free plastic surgery for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. Dr. Ramakant Bembde’s career in plastic and cosmetic surgery started after he completed his Master’s degree in General Surgery in 1994. By 1998, he also completed his M.Ch. Plastic Surgery Super specialty training at Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital Mumbai in Bombay. Because of his special interest in microsurgery, he also completed a specialized Laboratory Course in Microsurgery at the prestigious and world-renowned Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. In India, these are considered the highest qualifications that plastic and cosmetic surgeons can have. Despite his impressive educational credentials and training background, Dr. Bembde still continuously invests his time in attending workshops and trainings to further improve his skills and increase his knowledge in his chosen field.
