Bone graft (large) or bone grafting surgery is a procedure usually performed alongside dental implants. It is necessary for patients who do not have sufficient bone material to fully-support implant-retained crowns in the lower and upper jaws. It may also be required if the base of the sinus is too proximate to the top jawbone. Large bone grafts usually involve local anesthetics, after which a small incision is placed on the graft side. The bone graft is then gently placed beside the existing bone and secured into place, after stabilizing with a protecting covering. Larger grafts typically need longer healing periods.

Composite filling, otherwise known as white filling, is a procedure performed for better oral hygiene and for aesthetically improving one’s teeth and smile. For cavities, the composite filling is placed after decayed materials are removed and the teeth were cleaned out. These fillings may also be used to repair broken, cracked, or worn out teeth. After preparation, the dentist usually fills in the composite in layers and uses a special light designed to harden the filling. Although most patients go for composite filling for aesthetic reasons, composites provide other advantages including better support for remaining tooth structure, as well as better insulation and protection from breakage.

Porcelain veneer, also popularly-known as dental veneer, is a very thin, custom-made layer composed of tooth-colored material that is fit over the front surface of a tooth. The covering is designed to make the teeth look healthier naturally since it can change the teeth in overall appearance - in terms of color, length, shape and size. Porcelain veneers are preferred because the material better mimics the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth. They are wafer-thin and held in place by a strong adhesive. Fitting of veneers is a simple procedure with very little preparation necessary.
