Dr. Singh’s practice at Pantai Medical Centre focuses on treating patients with diseases that affect the colon and the rectum including anal fissures, hemorrhoids, inflammatory bowel disease, colon and rectal polyps, and cancer.
Dr. Singh, who is a board-certified surgeon in both the United Kingdom and Malaysia, graduated from Kasturba Medical College in India in 1992 where he obtained his MBBS degree. He then furthered his knowledge and completed his Master of Medicine in Surgery at the National University of Singapore in 1998. He also became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Ireland (1998) and University of Hull Hospital (colon and rectal surgery) in the United Kingdom.
Prior to establishing his own clinic, he held various medical posts at different hospitals including:
- Medical Officer – Department of Accident & Emergency, General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur
- Specialist Surgeon – Department of Surgery, General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur
- Head of Clinical Department – Accident & Emergency Department, Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Seremban
- Specialist Registrar – Department of Colorectal Surgery, Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, Hull, England
Dr. Singh has over 20 years of solid experience and he is an expert in colorectal surgery, laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery, and gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is a proud member of the Malaysian Medical Association, the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons, Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, National University of Singapore Alumni, and Sports Medicine Society of Malaysia, among others.
