Overview

Eat Right is a nutrition consulting firm founded by Derrick Ong, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. An accredited practicing dietitian in Singapore and Australia, Derrick started the firm after he realized that there was a low health literacy level among Singaporeans. Driven to promote good health and nutrition to the public, he started offering one-on-one nutritional coaching with individuals and helped companies put together highly effective healthy meal plan programmes to ensure the well-being of their staff.

Derrick Ong is highly trusted in his field and because of his credentials and qualifications, he was chosen to lead the Nutrition Ambassador Team for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games and was the nutrition advisor to Football Association of Singapore. Derrick was also on the nutrition team for HPB’s national weight loss challenge ‘Lose To Win’ and is a trainer for the Health Ambassador Training programme.

An advocate of eating right, he promotes awareness by sharing his expertise in local newspapers and magazines including Mind Your Body, Her World, and Suria. Using his experience and expertise, he goes a great length to ensure that every meal plan is not just delicious but also customized to each patient’s specific need.
