Dr. Leong is an award-winning ENT specialist with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) where he was awarded numerous medals and book prizes for his academic excellence. He also topped his final MBBS examination and was one of the top candidates in Southeast Asia in the primary surgical fellowship examination of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He was chosen for the Ministry of Health’s scholarship for overseas advanced specialty training paving the way for him to train with renowned ENT specialists abroad including Professor Michel Portmann in Bordeaux, France and Professor Fisch in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr. Leong is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, United Kingdom (FRCS), Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), the International College of Surgeons (FICS), and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
<p>Dr. Leong Hoo Kwong is a consultant ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgeon currently practicing at Gleneagles Medical Centre. His areas of expertise lie in otology and neuro-otology, endoscopic sinonasal and skull base surgery, ENT allergies, snoring and sleep-disordered breathing, paediatric ENT, and head and neck tumour surgery. </p> <p>He completed his MBBS at the National University of Singapore and subspecialty training in otology, neuro-otology, and skull base surgery at the Portmann Institute in France and Zurich, Switzerland. </p> <p>He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCPS), International College of Surgeons (FICS), Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS), and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. </p> <p>Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Leong served as a senior lecturer and consultant at the National University Hospital’s department of otolaryngology. He is the founding vice chairman of Singapore’s College of Surgeons’ otorhinolaryngology chapter.</p>
