Invisalign aligners are the clear alternatives to metal braces. Made of medical grade resin that is molded according to the size, shape, and structure of your teeth, they are almost invisible. The treatment process involves taking impressions of your teeth to create a 3D image of them. The computer then creates a series of mold for individual aligners that are adjusted at least once a month. Like regular braces, constant wearing of Invisalign helps align the teeth as they move and shift gradually to their rightful places. It is a painless process that is typically recommended for a variety of dental issues including gaps, under- and overbites, and malocclusion.

Also known as deep tooth cleaning, oral Prophylaxis is an important dental treatment to maintain the health of the oral cavity and delay the progression of periodontal disease. It doesn’t need any anesthetic unless a severe oral disease is suspected, or the patient becomes anxious during the treatment. Depending on the actual cleaning performed, it involves using scaling tools to scrape off tartar and plaque build-up, as well as planing teeth roots to get rid of bacteria. An anti-bacterial oral cream may be applied after the procedure to kill leftover harmful microorganisms. It lasts between 30 minutes and an hour with no downtime though there may be slight discomfort during and after the procedure.
Post and Core
A post & core buildup connects a tooth that has had a root canal to a crown. It is generally performed on a tooth after a root canal and prior to placing a crown on the tooth. Although not all root canalled teeth need post & cores, many do. After placement of a post & core, it is recommended that a crown is placed on the tooth. Waiting too long for the crown may cause the tooth to break. The tooth could then be lost. Required to stay in Thailand: 1 day.
