Practising for over 40 years, Dr. Gordon Lim is one of the most experienced obstetricians and gynaecologists in Singapore. He started his medical career at the University of London where he completed his MBBS degree from Middlesex Hospital Medical School in 1975. Following the completion of his residency in the United Kingdom, he returned to Singapore and held various positions at different government and private hospitals and completed his postgraduate degree. He then decided to go into private practice and established his very own clinic.
Dr. Lim is recognised in Singapore as one of the first to use ultrasound scans for diagnosing gynaecological conditions and to perform minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of ovarian cysts and endometriosis, among others. He is also among the first to carry out video hysteroscopic endometrial ablation as an alternative to hysterectomy for patients suffering from heavy periods.

His clinic, the Gordon Lim Clinic and Surgery for Women, is conveniently located at Gleneagles Medical Centre in Singapore. </p> <p>He graduated from the University of London with an MBBS degree in 1975 and became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1982. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), the US International College of Surgeons (FICS), and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of London (FRCOG). </p> <p>He is one of the first in Singapore to use ultrasound scans as a diagnostic tool in obstetrics and gynaecology and perform minimally invasive surgery (keyhole) for the treatment of stress <a href="http://www.docdoc.com/info/condition/incontinence">incontinence</a>, ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, and other gynaecological conditions. He is also one of the first in the country to perform video hysteroscopic endometrial ablation for the treatment of heavy periods.
