The clinic is helmed by Dr. Heah Sieu Min, a colorectal surgeon with over 21 years of experience. His treatment philosophy resolves around thoroughly assessing the patient’s condition, providing accurate diagnosis, and delivering targeted, individualised treatment.
Dr. Heah, who is a former visiting consultant at Singapore General Hospital and National Cancer Centre, completed a one-year fellowship training at the Surgical Academic Unit, Castle Hill Hospital, University of Hull, United Kingdom courtesy of the colorectal clinical fellowship programme awarded by the Singapore General Hospital.
Practicing for over two decades, Dr. Heah has published numerous research studies and presented at conferences both in Singapore and abroad. Driven to continuously improve patient outcomes, he commits to continuous professional development by attending seminars and conferences.
<p>Dr. Heah Sieu Min is a consultant general and colorectal surgeon with over 20 years of specialist practice experience. He is currently in private practice at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre where he focuses on providing comprehensive services for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various digestive and gastrointestinal conditions, including piles, hernia, fissures, abscess, anal fistula, gallstones, and cancer. </p> <p>His services include colorectal endoscopy, Doppler ligation of piles, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and hernia repair. He also provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of abscess, anal fistula, gallstones, and irritable bowel syndrome.</p> <p>He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 1990. He completed his training in general surgery at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (Ireland) and Singapore General Hospital and training in colorectal surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) in 1994. </p> <p>In 1997, Dr. Heah was awarded a scholarship for his one-year colorectal clinical fellowship at Castle Hill Hospital in the United Kingdom. Upon his return to Singapore, he rejoined Singapore General Hospital’s department of colorectal surgery as a consultant. He subsequently won the hospital's Service with a Heart Award for excellent service quality in January 2000, December 2001, and August 2002. </p> <p>He entered private practice in 2007 and set up the Heah Colorectal Endoscopy and Piles Centre at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. Dr. Heah has published in various scientific journals and presented at local and international conferences.</p>
