ITTI Dental specializes in dental implants that are extremely popular with international patients. Implants, which are the most ideal solution to missing teeth, are up to 75% cheaper in Thailand when compared to western countries. The process of getting dental implants take anywhere from 8 months to one year. This is because of the waiting period to allow the gums to heal (after extraction) and later, to allow the implant to bond to the jawbone. The surgical phase of the procedure is performed under local anesthesia with IV sedation. The oral surgeon will make an incision in your gums to access the bone underneath. Using special dental drill, the implant, which is a small metal post, will be screwed to the jawbone. The oral surgeon will then close the incisions using absorbable sutures. You will be required to return after four to six months to check if the implant has securely attached to the bone. On your next visit, the abutment and the crown (artificial tooth) are attached to the implant.

Composite filling, otherwise known as white filling, is a procedure performed for better oral hygiene and for aesthetically improving one’s teeth and smile. For cavities, the composite filling is placed after decayed materials are removed and the teeth were cleaned out. These fillings may also be used to repair broken, cracked, or worn out teeth. After preparation, the dentist usually fills in the composite in layers and uses a special light designed to harden the filling. Although most patients go for composite filling for aesthetic reasons, composites provide other advantages including better support for remaining tooth structure, as well as better insulation and protection from breakage.

There are different types of dental crowns that you can take advantage of but the one that is considered the most esthetically pleasing are the all-ceramic or full porcelain crowns. As the name implies, these crowns are made from 100% porcelain allowing you to achieve that translucent look. Dentists at ITTI Dental Clinic have the required expertise and years of experience in dealing with these crowns so local patients and medical tourists are assured of quality. The major advantage of using these crowns aside from the fact that they’re natural-looking is that they are highly biocompatible and thus, do not cause allergic reactions. However, when compared to other crowns, they are a bit pricey and preparation can be highly complicated. When you consult at ITTI Dental Clinic, your options, including all porcelain crowns, will be discussed to help you make a well-informed decision.

A scale and polish cleans your teeth very thoroughly. Scaling removes the hard tartar which forms on your teeth like scale inside a kettle. You can't remove it just by brushing your teeth. Scaling also removes trapped food and plaque containing millions of germs, which can cause tooth decay and gum disease. Stains from coffee, tea, cigarettes or red wine are also cleaned away when your dentist polishes your teeth. A dental hygienist is specially trained and will scale your teeth. If you clean your teeth very thoroughly anyway, your scale and polish will take less time. Outpatient basis.

Deep Cleaning, Scaling & Root Planing (per quadrant) is a thorough and comprehensive cleaning of the teeth and its root surfaces to remove dirt, tartar, and plaque using special probes and advanced dental instruments. It also involves the cleaning of periodontal pockets in the gums to remove dislodged bacteria. Scaling and root planning is also a suggested treatment for gingivitis, periodontitis and other early gum diseases. Although the treatment is considered minimally invasive, depending on the patient’s condition, the procedure is usually performed per quadrant to provide maximum comfort.
