<p>Dr. Kathy Lee Lai Fun is a consultant cardiologist currently in private practice in Hong Kong. She is also a consultant cardiologist at the Cardiac Health Heart Centre and an honorary clinical assistant professor at The University of Hong Kong. She has more than 30 years of practice experience and subspecialty interests in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. </p> <p>She graduated from The University of Hong Kong with her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 1987. She also holds Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Philosophy.</p> <p>Dr. Lee completed her internship at Princess Margaret Hospital and residency in internal medicine at Queen Mary Hospital (QMH). In 1992, she pursued her interest in cardiology and joined QMH’s cardiology division. She was also a clinical and research fellow at Stanford University Medical Centre’s electrophysiology and arrhythmia service from 1993-1994. Upon her return to Hong Kong, she rejoined QMH as a senior medical officer before going into private practice. </p> <p>Dr. Lee obtained her membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP) in 1991. She is also a member of the International Society for Holter and Non-Invasive Electrocardiology, Heart Rhythm Society (USA), and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society. She was conferred Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Physicians (FHKCP) in 1995, Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (FHKAM) in 1996, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP) in 2003, and the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 2007. </p> <p>Dr. Lee was a member of the editorial board of various medical journals, including the Journal of Arrhythmia, Journal of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology, and South China Journal of Cardiology. She is also the former chairperson of Hong Kong College of Cardiology’s sudden death registry and automatic external defibrillator programme.</p>
