Nobel Heart Centre is a dedicated heart clinic with services that include treadmill exercise test, 24-hour Holter monitoring, 2-dimensional and stress echocardiography, and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Located within Mount Alvernia Hospital in Singapore, the centre has access to fully equipped cardiovascular laboratory and facilities needed for elective and emergency procedures, including stent implantation, angioplasty, and angiogram.
The clinic’s consultant cardiologist is Dr. Brian Khoo Chung Hoe, the former director of the coronary care unit, cardiac catheterisation at Khoo Tech Puat Hospital and visiting consultant to the National University Heart Centre and National Heart Centre.
<p>Dr. Brian Khoo Chung Hoe is a consultant cardiologist with over 15 years of practice experience. His subspecialty interests lie in interventional cardiology with services that include preventative cardiovascular screening and risk assessment. He also evaluates and manages chest pain, coronary artery disease, <a href="https://www.docdoc.com/info/condition/heart-failure">heart failure</a>, and abnormal heart rhythm. </p> <p>Dr. Khoo completed his medical degree in 1998 at the Queen’s University of Belfast in the United Kingdom. In 2002, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP). He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). </p> <p>Dr. Khoo then pursued his advanced specialist training in cardiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In 2006, he obtained his specialist accreditation in cardiology from the Singapore Medical Council and Ministry of Health. To further his knowledge in interventional cardiology, Dr. Khoo went to the United States and spent a year at the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Centre under Dr. Neal Kleiman and at the University of Texas Medical Branch under Dr. Ken Fujise. Dr. Khoo is the only doctor in Singapore to have been accepted to the US-based accreditation council for graduate medical education’s sponsorship programme as an interventional cardiology fellow. </p> <p>Upon his return to Singapore, Dr. Khoo joined Khoo Tech Puat Hospital as the director of its coronary care unit. He was also a visiting consultant to the National Heart Centre and National University Heart Centre. </p> <p>Dr. Khoo also served as a senior clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and core clinical faculty member for cardiology in the national healthcare group cardiology residency programme.</p>
