He is also the former director of the Digestive Disease Centre and was a visiting consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the National Cancer Centre, and John Hopkins International Medical Centre (Singapore).</p>

<p>Dr. Melvin Look is a consultant general, gastrointestinal, and laparoscopic surgeon. He holds an MBBS degree and has received training in upper gastrointestinal cancer surgery at the National Cancer Centre Hospital in Tokyo, advanced laparoscopic surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Centre in New York, and peritoneal cancer treatment at the Washington Cancer Institute, Washington DC. Prior to going into private practice, he served at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (UK) for one year as an honorary consultant in upper gastrointestinal surgery. </p> <p>Upon his return to Singapore, he joined the Centre for Gut and Liver Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Mt. He also served as chairman of the Urology Cancer Multidisciplinary Tumour Board, Advanced Care Planning Team, Urology Cancer Support Programme, and TTSH Prostate Cancer Support Group for patients and their family.</p>
