Physioline is recognized in Mumbai as a center of excellence for advanced neuro and orthopaedic rehabilitation services, specialized physiotherapy, and paralysis and pain treatment and management. It was founded in 1999 and focuses on helping patients with neurological conditions (such as stroke, facial paralysis, and cerebral palsy), sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries, and cardio-pulmonary conditions with the goal to restore their health and improve the quality of their lives.
The center, which is accredited by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists and Medical Council of India, is the first in Mumbai to provide workstation assessment, functional restoration, and ergonomic advice to various corporations and organizations in the area to enhance the well-being of their employees.
The center also conceptualized its very own signature therapy (combination therapy) designed to alleviate pain, reduce spasticity and improve the patient’s overall functional independence. It uses internationally recognized and scientifically proven methods from Germany combined with a customized exercise program to treat paralysis and other neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, crania-cerebral trauma, nerve injuries, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injuries. The method has 99% success rate in stroke patients.
In addition, Physioline is the first to introduce the concept of laser therapy in pain management. It also started an epiglottis strengthening program using micropulse for swallowing impairments in stroke patients.
Driven to continuously improve patient outcomes, the center invests in upgrading its facilities and improving its team’s therapeutic skills through relevant training and seminars. It is helmed by Dr. Sanjay Bakhshi, a physiotherapist with over 15 years of solid experience. He holds a Diploma in Acupuncture, Post Graduate Diploma in Mentamove Therapy (Germany), and International Certification in Hand Robotics of Gloreha Hand Rehabilitation (Italy), among others.
Dr. Sanjay Bakhshi is a general orthopaedic and neurophysiologist with over 15 years of experience. He founded Physioline, a centre of excellence for paralysis and pain treatment, in Mumbai.
