Raffles Specialist Centre is a 22-storey medical facility that was officially opened to the public on March 12, 2019. It is the extension of Raffles Hospital, Raffles Medical Group’s flagship facility that offers a broadened spectrum of primary inpatient and outpatient, specialist, and emergency care.
Raffles Hospital offers family medicine services, 24-hour emergency services, health screening, and a wide range of multi-disciplinary specialist clinics. It features an intensive care unit, delivery and angiography suites, day surgery facility, and operating theatres. It also features its own dietetics, traditional Chinese medicine, and rehabilitation departments as well as a clinical laboratory and pharmacy.

<p>Dr. Akira Wu is a nephrologist and physician with over four decades of practice experience. </p> <p>He completed his MBBS degree at Monash University (Australia, 1974). Following the completion of his renal research fellowship courtesy of Prince Henry Hospital Full-Time Specialist Scholarship that was awarded in 1981, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (1981) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (1991). </p> <p>Dr. Wu is currently serving as a nephrologist and physician at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. <p>Dr. Steve Yang Tze Yi is a respiratory medicine specialist at Mount Elizabeth, Gleneagles, and Parkway East Hospitals. He has a strong interest in interstitial lung disease, critical care, and end-stage lung diseases.</p> <p>He completed his MBBS at the National University of Singapore in 1994 and training in respiratory and intensive care medicine at the Singapore General Hospital. He then went to the United States for further training in intensive care medicine and interstitial lung disease at the University of Washington Medical Centre. He also has a European diploma in intensive care. </p> <p>Following the completion of his postgraduate qualifications, Dr. Yang was conferred Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FACC), Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS), and Singapore's Chapters of Intensive Care and Respiratory Physicians. He is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP). </p> <p>Dr. Yang has published in local and international medical journals on critical care and interstitial lung disease. He is also a regular reviewer of various journals, including Respirology and Respiratory Care and the Singapore Medical Journal.</p>
