Under his guidance, the centre strives to continuously provide high quality and effective treatment for a wide variety of urological conditions for both local and international patients.
The centre provides adult and paediatric urology services using a combination of technologically advanced equipment and treatment methods and compassionate medical care. Dr. Ho specialises in laser and robotic surgical techniques and performs modern diagnostics and surgical procedures including laparoscopy, percutaneous and endoscopy urology, and robotic surgical procedures.
Apart from the centre’s advanced medical technologies, patients can also enjoy the added benefits of the centre being located in one of the country’s top hospitals. Gleneagles Medical Centre is a 380-bed tertiary hospital that is fully equipped with the most advanced technologies used in medical imaging, laboratory, and pathology services. This allows Dr. Ho and his team to provide top-quality medical services regardless of the complexity of patients' conditions.
Dr. Ho Siew Hong obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore. Soon after, he obtained a fellowship in surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow. He was also accepted at the International College of Surgeons. After completing his studies in surgery, Dr. Ho returned to Singapore to further train in his chosen specialty (urology) and subsequently became a member of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He then spent a year at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia, as a fellow in endourology and laparoscopy. To advance his skills further, Dr. Ho completed his advanced laparoscopy training at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France. There he was exposed to advanced extra peritoneal laparoscopic radical prostatectomy techniques. Throughout his career, Dr. Ho has been instrumental in the development of percutaneous and laparoscopic urological surgery in Singapore. He is a well-respected and active member of the medical community, serving as the honorary secretary of the Society for Men’s Health (Singapore), treasurer for the Society for Continence (Singapore) and the Singapore Urological Association. He was also the organizing chairman of 3rd Japan ASEAN Men’s Health and Aging Conference. In spite of being actively engaged in Singapore’s medical community, Dr. Ho still finds plenty of time for his true passion: his patients. Showing his commitment to providing them with medical care that is centred on compassion, he founded the Singapore Prostate Cancer Support Group, which recognizes and addresses the physical and mental needs of prostate cancer patients.
