<p>Dr. Saini Jeffery Freddy Abdullah is a consultant rehabilitation medicine specialist at KPJ Tawakkal Health Centre in Malaysia. He has a special interest in neuro-rehabilitation. He is also involved in the rehabilitation of stroke patients and patients with other neurological disorders. </p> <p>He is the former head of the University of Malaya and University of Malaya Medical Centre’s department of rehabilitation medicine. </p> <p>He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and Master of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Malaya. He previously served as a rehabilitation medicine registrar at Southern Health Network in Melbourne, Australia. He also worked at Hampton Stroke Rehabilitation Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, and Kingston Hospital in Australia before joining KPJ Tawakkal Health Centre. </p> <p>Dr. Abdullah has been invited to speak at various medical workshops and conferences on stroke rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorder, and management of diabetic foot, among others. He has also presented his research in medical conferences held in China, Seoul, and Edinburgh. In addition, Dr. Abdullah has published in the Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine, the Diabetic Foot Journal, and the Journal of Sexual Medicine.</p>
<p>Dr. Halili Bin Rahmat is a neurosurgeon at Ara Damansara and Subang Jaya Medical Centres in Malaysia. He has more than 30 years of specialist practice experience. </p> <p>His main services are craniotomy, ventriculoperitoneal shunt, brain ventricle catheter insertion and removal, and partial laminectomy. Other procedures that he performs are brain biopsy, brain abscess drainage, brain decompression, brain tumour excision, cerebral aneurysm embolisation, and cranioplasty. </p> <p>He is experienced in the treatment and management of traumatic brain injury, neck pain, and skull fracture. He also treats brain cancer, brain cysts, cerebrovascular accident, cervical radiculopathy, cervical spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, hydrocephalus, sciatica, spinal nerve root injury, and subdural haematoma. </p> <p>He graduated from the University of Malaya with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 1977. He then joined Kuala Lumpur Hospital for his training in general surgery and General Hospital Seremban for his residency. He subsequently pursued his specialty training in neurosurgery at The Alfred Hospital and Royal Children Hospital in Australia in 1984. He was conferred Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 1988. </p> <p>He is a member of the Australian Neurological Society, Malaysian Neurological Society, and Malaysian Medical Council.</p>
