She has more than 15 years of experience and worked in plastic surgery and hand reconstructive microsurgery both in Ireland and Singapore. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland and Edinburgh), the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), and the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery (ASCLS).

Prior to establishing her own practice, Dr. Tan worked in plastic surgery and hand reconstructive microsurgery in Singapore and Ireland. She has also participated and even led scientific studies in Europe and Singapore with the goal to discover better methods that can further improve patient outcomes. She is a published author and regularly speaks and presents at international medical conferences.
