<p>While many doctors pursue their specialisation out of passion, Dr. Ewen Chee of Singapore has another motivation: his own experience. When he was young, he battled with acne and, therefore, understood the challenges that come along with this very common disorder. </p> <p>Dr. Chee's career in the field of medicine started when he pursued his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree in London. He is a proud graduate of the Royal London School of Medicine, University of London. He then furthered his knowledge and obtained a diploma in FP dermatology from the National University of Singapore and later became a board certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. </p> <p>With a special interest in aesthetic medicine, he pioneered the IPL technology in Singapore and championed non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments for different skin diseases including scarring, acne, and hyperpigmentation. </p> <p>Dr. Chee, who is the founder and medical director of The Chelsea Clinic, is also a proud member of the College of Family Physicians. Through his clinic, he offers reasonably priced, individualised treatment programmes using evidence-based techniques and the most advanced technologies in the field of aesthetic medicine.</p>
<p>Dr. Charlotte Kim Yung is one of the celebrated experts at Chelsea Clinic, one of the newest wellness medicine and aesthetic centres in North Buona Vista Road, Singapore. </p> <p>She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 1985. She then went on to complete her Master’s Degree, specialising in Family Medicine. </p> <p>With over 20 years experience, Dr. Yung is deeply committed to providing only the best medical care for her patients. Her approach is twofold: First, she promotes wellness and disease prevention through routine screening examinations, counselling, and education. Second, she ensures to offer the most ideal evidence-based treatment programmes that are formulated based on each patient's unique circumstances. </p> <p>She believes that it’s important to have an excellent doctor-patient relationship and that a person’s health is affected not only by his or her genetics, lifestyle, or choices, but also by his or her surroundings or the community. Therefore, her treatment programmes are holistic. </p> <p>Over the years, she noticed how many of her patients are bothered by the physical signs of aging that she later explored Aesthetic Medicine. Her training now allows her to perform intense pulse light (IPL) therapies, lasers, and other skin treatments that deal with acne, saggy skin, and hyperpigmentation, among others. </p> <p>In 1993, she received a certification from the International Board of Lactation Consultants as part of her effort to promote breastfeeding. <p>Dr. Vanessa Phua started her career in the field of <a href="http://www.docdoc.com/info/specialty/eye-doctors">ophthalmology</a>. She completed her MBBS in the United Kingdom and her Master's Degree in Ophthalmology in Singapore. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. </p> <p>With a keen interest in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Phua pursued her Diploma in Practical Dermatology in Cardiff, Wales in the United Kingdom and subsequently became a registered laser physician. </p> <p>She offers a range of aesthetic medical and laser treatments including thread lift (Serdev, Silhouette, Silhouette Soft, and Ultra V Lift), filler rejuvenation for face contouring and rejuvenation, and Ulthera® (focused ultrasound skin lifting), among others. </p> <p>She is a member of the Society of Aesthetic Medicine, Singapore and a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.</p>

He also offers reconstructive surgery, such as breast reconstruction, burns reconstruction, and gender reassignment surgery. </p> <p>He completed his MBBS at the National University of Singapore, basic and advanced surgical training in general surgery at Singapore General Hospital, and fellowship in breast reconstruction, microvascular surgery, and aesthetic surgery at the University of Washington, USA. In 2004, he completed his Master of Medicine in Surgery and obtained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS). In 2010, he was conferred Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS). </p> <p>Prior to establishing his private practice, he served at Singapore General Hospital as a consultant plastic surgeon and at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital as a visiting consultant. </p> <p>Dr. Leo is also actively involved in academic training, serving as an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and examiner for the plastic surgery exit examination and examiner for the final MBBS surgical examination for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.</p>
