Dr. T T Lim Cardiology Clinic is a private medical facility specialising in interventional cardiology. The clinic is helmed by Dr. Lim Tai Tian, a consultant cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. He completed his basic medical degree as well as his two-year internship in the Netherlands. He is an interventional cardiology Fellow at Stanford University, California, United States. Prior to setting up his private practice, he served at Academisch Medisch Centrum (Amsterdam) and Singapore General Hospital. He was also a lecturer at the National University of Singapore and a consultant cardiologist at the National Heart Centre, Singapore. His special interest lies in complex angioplasty and stenting procedures.
<p>Dr. Lim Tai Tian graduated from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands where he completed his medical doctor (cum laude) degree. He then became a certified internal medicine specialist by the Royal Netherlands Medical Association (1991) and registered physician by the Singapore Medical Council (1993). </p> <p>He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) and United States’ Stanford University (interventional cardiology). </p> <p>Prior to setting up his private practice at Paragon Medical Centre, he served as: </p> <ul> <li>Consultant cardiologist, National University Hospital (NUS) Singapore (1996-2000)</li> <li>Senior lecturer, National University of Singapore (1996-2000)</li> <li>Consultant cardiologist, National Heart Centre (NHC) Singapore (2000-2005)</li> <li>Visiting consultant, National Heart Centre Singapore (2005-2010)</li> </ul> <p>Dr. Lim is a scientific advisory board member of Clinquest, a private corporation that specialises in consulting services for drug discovery and development in the United States. While working at NUS and NHC, he also served as a local principal investigator for clinical trials of both medical devices and new drugs. His work in stent coatings for sustained drug release has resulted in a number of patents.</p>
