Dr. Audra Fong is an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in neuro-ophthalmology. She has a keen interest in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with diseases that affect the brain and nerves that are closely related to the visual system. She also provides treatment for age-related eye conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and cataracts.
Her services also include comprehensive eye examinations as well as myopia and squint screening for children, laser-assisted subepithelial keratomileusis, intraocular lens implantation, laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis, cataract surgery, and lens extraction.
She also treats and manages corneoscleral laceration, ischaemic optic neuropathy, ocular melanoma, vitreous wick syndrome, retinal detachment, recurrent corneal erosion, colour blindness, photopsia, central serous chorioretinopathy, blocked tear duct, vitreous floaters, band keratopathy, retinitis, scleritis, infectious conjunctivitis, and corneal oedema.
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 1998 and Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2004 at the National University of Singapore. She completed her training in general surgery at the National University Hospital and training in ophthalmology at Singapore General Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and Singapore National Eye Centre. She obtained her membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) in 2004 and was conferred Fellow in 2008 (FRCS). Dr. Fong is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).
