Dr. Alan Cheung Tin Lung is a senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Singapore Medical Specialists Centre. He specialises in minimally invasive surgery, sports and exercise medicine, and trauma and musculoskeletal tumour surgery.
He completed his MBBS at the University of London and Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine in the United Kingdom. He is both a member (MRCS) and Fellow (FRCS) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also a Fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and an international member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Aside from his private practice, he also serves as a consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and an international instructor in advanced trauma and life support (ALTS). He also regularly trains surgeons in the Asia Pacific region on advanced sports surgery and adult joint reconstruction.
Alan Cheung Orthopaedics specialises in sports injuries such as torn ligaments and tendons, and cartilage injury in the knee, hip and shoulder, adult joint reconstruction including partial and total knee replacement and total hip teplacement for osteoarthritis, and robotic surgery (Makoplasty, Navio and Robodoc systems) and other orthopaedic services.
