Dr. Tan Hui Meng is a consultant urologist at Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) and the Beacon Hospital in Malaysia. He specialises in the treatment of urologic disorders, urologic surgery, men’s health and ageing, and sexual dysfunction. He has over 30 years of specialist practice experience.
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Malaysia, fellowship in endourology and extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy in the United States, and fellowship in endourology in Germany. He was subsequently conferred Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow (FRCS) and the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (FAMM).
Dr. Tan is the president of the Malaysian Society of Andrology and Study of the Ageing Male, vice-president of the Asian Society of Endourology, chairman of the Asia Pacific Council for the Study of the Ageing Male, and secretary general of the Asia Pacific Society of Sexual Medicine. He is also a member of the American Urological Association and Endourology Society, the National Kidney Foundation, and the Malaysian Medical Association.
He is a former clinical specialist at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and was a consultant urologist to the Sultan of Selangor State and the late King of Malaysia (1994-2001).
