Dato’ Dr. Venugopal Balchand is one of the most trusted cardiothoracic surgeons in Malaysia and he is part of the team that operated on former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Mahathir in 2007. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of coronary artery disease, lung cancer, and valvular heart disease using up-to-date techniques and the most advanced technologies to ensure the safety of the patients and the success of the operation.
He obtained his Master of Medicine (Surgery) in Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the National Heart Association of Malaysia.
