Dr. David Paul Bell, the former director of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service at Changi General Hospital, has over 10 years of experience in treating and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries. He holds an MBBS and MMed (Ortho Surgery) degrees, which he obtained from Singapore and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). Due to his potentials and his commitment to improving orthopaedic care, he was awarded the Ministry of Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Scholarship that sent him to Charite University in Berlin where he trained in the specialist fields of adult reconstruction in hip and knee arthroplasty and management of complex musculoskeletal trauma. He also received training in the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques that offer better patient outcome, shorter recovery period, and minimal post-surgery pain and bruising.
Prior to joining OrthoSports Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, he served as a clinical lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore.
Dr. Bell is a Member of the AO International, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the care of patients with musculoskeletal injuries. He was also the former chairman and instructor for numerous international and regional instructional courses.
