Dr. Anand Kumar is the director of Utsav Eye Clinic in India. He graduated from M & J Western Regional Institute of Ophthalmology with Masters in Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology. In 2007, he became a Diplomate of the National Board, New Delhi.
He then attended the Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai where he completed his advanced training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Not one to rest on his laurels, he pursued higher learning in the United States where he trained under world-renowned Dr. Burton Kushner, a distinguished ophthalmologist recognised for his expertise in paediatric ophthalmology. Following the completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Kumar was awarded the prestigious International Council of Ophthalmologists (ICO) fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
Aside from striving to provide the highest standards of eye care to both local and international patients, Dr. Kumar is also involved in several on-going research and studies, focusing on nystagmus surgery, astigmatism in children, senile cataract, and sensory strabismus. He has also written and published numerous articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals as well as presented at various medical conferences.

He then went to the United States and trained under world-renowned Dr. Burton Kushner for his advanced fellowship in neuro and paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. On successful completion, he received the prestigious International Council of Ophthalmologist (ICO) fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Dr. Kumar has written in various peer-reviewed national and international journals and has presented numerous times at state and national conferences.
