Dr. Andrew Quoc Dutton, who grew up in Canberra, Australia, graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and completed his subspecialty orthopaedic training at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in the United States. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and Harvard Orthopaedic Surgery.
Prior to going into private practice, he was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and the Official Physician during the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
Dr. Dutton is the Founding Head of the Sports Clinic and the Fellowship Director for Sports Surgery at NUH. He has also been instrumental in the setting up of NUH’s Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Registry. He pioneered the computer guided surgery technique and minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery in the region. He also pioneered hip arthroscopy with labral repair and bi-compartmental knee replacement procedures.

Widely recognised as an authority in his field, Dr. Dutton was invited at the Harvard Arthroplasty Conference in the United States in 2007 as a Distinguished International Faculty as well as at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Conference. He was also an invited author to the prestigious International Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery for his research paper entitled Minimally Invasive, Computer Guided Total Replacement.
