Dr. Charles Chan currently runs his own practice as Senior Cardiologist Specialist with the goal of providing a better life for his patients. To better serve his patients, he continues to improve himself through various research in respiratory function, coronary artery disease, pulmonary atresia, and angioplasty, thus lending himself more expertise and capability in treating such conditions. Aside from his private practice, he is currently affiliated with Mount Alvernia Hospital, Singapore Medical Group, and Gleneagles Hospital.
Dr. Charles Chan has more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts to his name, most of which are published in international journals and other major publications. He has also shared his expertise through lectures and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, a position he held back in 2001. He also worked as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Director of the Interventional Cardiology at the highly respected National Heart Centre of Singapore.
Dr. Chan is backed by his impressive training background, thanks to his time training under several senior specialists from all over the world. After graduating from the National University of Ireland, he obtained the Leonard Abramson Gold Medal and the Desmond Lyons Gold Medal in Medicine from the esteemed St. Laurence Hospital. He further trained in Scotland, New Zealand, and France, and was accepted in 1999 as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh and the American College of Cardiology.
