Dr. Chooi Yue Seng is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 15 years of experience. Specialising in Spine Surgery, he is one of the internationally trained members of Neuro Spine KL’s trusted team of surgeons. His medical career started after obtaining his MBBS from Sydney University in Australia in 1995. He then completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in 2002 at the University of Melbourne, also in Australia. Due to his potentials, he was awarded a scholarship by the Malaysian government, paving the way for him to obtain his Masters in Orthopaedics from the University of Malaya in Malaysia.
In 2005, Dr. Chooi completed his first Clinical Spine Fellowship at Hong Kong University, which was followed by Advanced Clinical Spine Fellowship in 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey. Because of these, he became one of the first surgeons to have completed the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s 4-year Higher Subspecialty Spine Training programme. Prior to joining Neuro Spine KL, Dr. Chooi is a part of Kuala Lumpur Hospital’s Spine Team.
Dr. Chooi is a proud Member of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association, Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Society, Malaysian Medical Association, World Society for Endoscopic, Navigated & Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery, AO Spine International, Malaysian Academy of Medicine, and the Malaysian Spine Society.
