Conditions treated include Heart Attack, Coronary Artery Disease (Blocked Blood Vessels), Weak Heart (Heart Failure), Irregular Heartbeat (Arrhythmia), and Heart Infection (Endocarditis or Myocarditis). Many people may have symptoms which could be due to a heart problem, such as difficulty in breathing, breathlessness, chest pain or angina, irregular heart rate, palpitations, swollen legs (oedema), and tiredness. The clinic performs tests and other investigations to diagnose the cause of these symptoms, and then provide the correct treatment. The full array of modern techniques and technologies such as electrocardiography, comprehensive resting echocardiography, stress echocardiography, carotid-intimal media thickness assessment, cardiac catheterisation & coronary angiography, right heart study, and myocardial biopsy are available. Patients have the opportunity to discuss all their options fully with the Cardiologist before commencing treatment. Of course, many people are healthy and wish to remain healthy, and thus can attend the clinic for a comprehensive heart and full body examination, which also includes clinical assessment, blood tests, and personal consultation with a highly-trained and experienced Senior Consultant Cardiologist.
