Dr. Huck Chin Chew started his career in medicine at the National University of Singapore where he obtained his MBBS and MMED in Internal Medicine. He then completed his dual specialty training in respiratory and intensive care medicine at Singapore General Hospital. In 2009, he received his European Diploma in Intensive Care. Dr. Chew, who is an accredited specialist in respiratory, emergency, and intensive care medicine by the Singapore’s Ministry of Health, is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Because of his commitment to his chosen field, Dr. Chew devoted his time and lent his expertise to numerous committees. He served as a treasurer of the Society of Emergency Medicine in Singapore from 2004-2006 and the Society of Intensive Care Medicine, also in Singapore, from 2012-2013. He was also appointed to the Sengkang General Hospital pro-tem committee and clinical service planning committee from 2011-2013.
Prior to joining Respiratory Medical Associates, he was the supervisor of Singapore General Hospital’s respiratory therapy department (2012-2013).
Dr. Chew, who has a keen interest in the advancing technology of non-invasive ventilation, offers comprehensive care for a wide range of lung disorders including chronic cough, pleural effusion, lung cancer, snoring with daytime sleepiness, lung infections (such as tuberculosis, bronchitis, and pneumonia), and asthma. He also offers therapeutic services and assistance for patients who wish to quit smoking to improve their health.
