Dr. Jeyaledchumy Mahadevan graduated from Mangalore University. She completed her undergraduate training at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal and her post-graduate training in radiology at the University of Malaya.
She then traveled to Paris and obtained her Masters Degree in Neurovascular Disease and Bangkok (Thailand) where she completed her subspecialty training in hepatobiliary.
Dr. Mahadevan is the treasurer of the Asian-Australasian Federation of Interventional Neuroradiology and is a member of the World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology. She is also the secretary of the Malaysian Board of Interventional Radiology and is the one who prepares training materials for the College of Radiology and Academy of Medicine.
Driven to the advancement of her field, Dr. Mahadevan has written and published numerous papers in both local and international journals. Some of the topics that she has written so far include cervical facial vascular malformations, supratentorial cerebral arteriovenous fistulas (avfs) in children, and bilateral segmental regression of the carotid and vertebral arteries with rete compensation in a western patient, among others.
