Dr. K. V. Ratnam graduated from the National University of Singapore and pursued advanced training in internal medicine. He completed his Master of Science degree at Stanford University (USA) and trained in handling allergy cases at Karolinska Hospital (Sweden). Upon his return to Singapore, he set up the first HIV clinic in the country. In 1990, he received a government-sponsored scholarship that sent him to the United States where he trained at the Mayo Clinic as a fellow for one and a half years. He then set up Ratnam’s Allergy and Skin Centre at Singapore Shopping Centre where he provides comprehensive skincare services as well as a full range of treatment for a wide range of allergies. The clinic is also focused on providing screening tests and holistic treatment for all known sexually transmitted diseases.
