Dr. Ken Ung is a senior consultant psychiatrist currently practicing at the Pacific Healthcare Holdings on Orchard Road, Singapore. He specialises in psychotherapy, forensic psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry.
He completed his MBBS in the United Kingdom as well as his postgraduate qualification in cognitive therapy. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).
He was the clinical director of the National University Hospital’s department of psychological medicine. He was also an adjunct associate professor with the Psychological Studies Academic Group, a clinical senior lecturer at the National University of Singapore, and a visiting consultant to Singapore General Hospital’s department of psychological medicine.
He has published in various local, regional, and international journals on topics that include stress, suicide, eating disorders, and mental health policy. He has also written chapters in the Textbook of Occupational Medicine Practice and co-authored four books entitled Parenting Young Children, The Early Years, Preparing Your Child from Primary One, and Stress and Distress.
