Dr. Leonard Ang is a senior consultant ophthalmologist currently practicing at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital in Singapore. He has over 15 years of practice experience specialising in cataract surgery, stem cell and corneal transplantation, cornea and retinal disease treatment, and refractive surgery (implantable contact lens, Epi-LASIK, and LASIK).
He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1994 with an MBBS degree and Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2000. Following the completion of his advanced specialist training at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), he pursued his subspecialty training in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (USA), Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in Japan, and Harvard Medical School in the United States.
He is a former associate professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and SNEC as well as the former medical director at the Premium LASIK Surgery Clinic (PLSC) and The Eye & Cornea Transplant Centre.
He is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of London (MRCOphth) and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).

He is a former associate professor at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine’s department of ophthalmology. He was also the principal investigator of the ocular surface stem cell and tissue engineering programmes at SNEC and Singapore Eye Research Institute. Dr. Elaine Huang graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS and a Master of Medicine (MMeD) in Ophthalmology. She completed her subspecialty training in surgical and medical retina at SNEC. She specialises in the management of complicated and advanced cataract surgery, glaucoma, and has subspecialised expertise in the management of vitreo-retinal conditions. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).

He is recognised for his many achievements, including the following: * Performed the first series of Boston Keratoprosthesis surgery (artificial cornea surgery) in Singapore and Southeast Asia * Pioneered bioengineered oral (mouth) stem cell transplantation for severe cornea disease in Singapore * Performed the first series of paediatric Boston Keratoprosthesis transplantations in Singapore and Southeast Asia for blinding childhood cornea diseases Dr. Ang completed his fellowship in Boston Keratoprosthesis at Harvard Medical School (USA) under Professor Claes Dohlman, the surgeon who pioneered the procedure. He also received training in cornea and refractive surgery at Pennsylvania School of Medicine (USA) and Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (Japan).
