Dr. Lewis Liew Choon How is a general surgeon and urologist with subspecialty training in endourology. His areas of interest are laparoscopy, uro-oncology, and renal transplantation. He is experienced in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, laparoscopic nephrectomy, and laparoscopic pyeloplasty.
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom), training in general surgery at Bassetlaw Hospital and University Hospital Coventry, and fellowship in endourology and laparoscopy at St. James’s University Hospital.
He was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd) and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS) in 2002.
Dr. Liew is a former consultant urologist and director of the National University Hospital’s urology department. He was also a clinical lecturer at the National University of Singapore.
He has written a book chapter on laparoscopic nephropexy and published his work on the Journal of Endourology, Singapore Medical Journal, and the Journal of Nephrology, Urology, and Transplantation. Dr. Liew also often presents at both local and international medical meetings and conferences.
