Dr. Ng Eng Seng is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a keen interest in hand and upper limb surgery. He is practicing at Subang Jaya Hand Centre in Malaysia where he specialises in congenital hand abnormalities, tendon repair and reconstruction, fractures of the hand and upper limb, peripheral nerve and brachial plexus surgery, hand arthritis and wrist surgery, and repetitive hand disorders.
He completed his MBBS (1995) and Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery (2002) at the University of Malaya and advanced training in hand, upper limb, and microsurgery in Australia in 2004.
He has published both in local and international journals on topics that include giant bone cell tumour, minimally invasive repair of Achilles tendon, tendon and flap surgery, and carpal tunnel release. He has also written book chapters on the management of triangular fibrocartilage complex and scaphoid fracture for an international textbook. He is also often invited to speak at local and international meetings on hand and upper limb surgery.
Dr. Ng is a member of the Malaysian Society of Surgery of the Hand and Malaysian Orthopaedic Association.
Prior to joining Sime Darby Subang Jaya and Ara Damansara Medical Centres, he served as head of the University Malaya Medical Centre’s hand and microsurgery unit (2006-2009).
