Dr. Ng Puay Yong graduated from National University of Singapore in 1989. He did his neurosurgical training at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide Children’s Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre, South Australia and obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1996.
His neurosurgical experience was further enhanced as a visiting fellow at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, USA in 1998; Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, USA in 1999 and Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 2003.
His area of interest include stroke, brain tumour and spine surgery. Besides conventional neurosurgery for brain and spinal conditions, Dr. Ng performs radiosurgery as well as endovascular interventions. He also serves as a visiting consultant for the National Neuroscience Institute, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore Gamma Knife Centre and National University Hospital.
