Dr. Sanket Mehta is an oncology (cancer) surgeon with over 10 years of experience. He established HIPEC clinic in India to provide dedicated treatment and care for patients suffering from breast, esophagus, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and stomach cancers. Aside from robotic, traditional, and minimally invasive surgical procedures, his clinic also provides pre- and post-operative care and management of patients. Services offered include stoma care therapy, dietary and nutritional guidance, genetic counselling and logistic support.
Dr. Mehta trained at Tata Memorial Hospital, a premier cancer institute in India. He then specialised in gastrointestinal (GI) and gynaecological oncology and completed fellowship training in GI oncology and cytoreductive surgery (CRLC Val d’Aurelle, France), minimal access and gastro-intestinal surgery (L’Hospital Saint Eloi, Centre Hospitaliere Universitaire, Montpellier, France), laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery (St. Mary’s Hospital, South Korea), and treatment of rare peritoneal diseases (Medstar Washington Memorial Hospital, USA).
To date, Dr. Mehta has successfully completed 100 CRS and HIPEC surgeries and has served not just local patients but also medical travelers from South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, Nepal, and Yemen, among others.
Aside from his private practice, Dr. Mehta is also currently serving as chief of the Division of Peritoneal Surface Oncology at Saifee Hospital, the first dedicated peritoneal surface malignancy unit in the country.
