Dr. Roland Sim Song Teck is an otolaryngologist or ENT surgeon at Mount Alvernia Medical Centre. His services include general otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Sim completed his MBBS and training in Singapore and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (FRCSP) and the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).
Prior to going into private practice, he served at the National University Hospital’s department of otolaryngology.
Together with Professor James Smith, who was from the Oregon Health Sciences University, Dr. Sim played a crucial role in the expansion of NUH’s facial plastic services department.
Under the guidance of Dr. Smith, Dr. Sim published a research paper (A Comparison of the Aesthetic Facial Proportions of Southern Chinese and White Women) in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery. The research is the first of its kind and has been quoted by other investigators since it was published.

It also offers facial plastic surgery, including rhinoplasty (nose surgery), blepharoplasty (eye surgery), and facelift. The clinic is helmed by Dr. Roland Sim Song Teck, a certified ENT surgeon with more than 25 years of specialist practice experience. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the National University of Singapore in 1986. Following the completion of his surgical training, he joined the National University Hospital’s department of otolaryngology and played a crucial role in the expansion of the department’s facial plastic surgery service. Dr. Sim is the first otolaryngologist to do plastic surgery in Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (1992) and the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).
