Dr. Tan Ken Jin is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery and sports injuries. He has over 12 years of experience and has numerous subspecialty clinical expertise including the management of forefoot deformities (ex. Bunions and Hammertoes), ankle arthritis with osteotomies, and arthroscopy of the foot and ankle, among others.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore where he obtained his MBBS and MMed (Orthopaedics) degrees. He is a Member and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). He completed a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Trauma and Reconstruction at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden, Germany (2009-2010) and at the Institute of Foot and Ankle Reconstruction in Baltimore, USA (2010-2011) where he trained under Dr. Mark Myerson, a world leader and pioneer in foot and ankle surgery.
After completing his advanced specialty training, for which he was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal, he returned to Singapore and joined the Sports Medicine Division of the National University Hospital where he co-founded the Foot and Ankle Division. He also served as a visiting consultant at the Sports and Orthopaedic Clinic at the University Health Centre and set up the fellowship training programme to train surgeons in foot and ankle reconstructions.
