Dr. Vijay C. Bose is the director and consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Asian Joint Institute, SIMS –SRM Institute for Medical Science. He’s a highly experienced surgeon whose areas of expertise include primary and revision joint replacement and osteotomies.
He graduated from the University of Madras (India) where he completed his MBBS degree in 1989. He then went on and pursued his Masters in Orthopaedics at the University of Mangalore in 1992. He also completed his MMed (Trauma) at the University of Birmingham (1997) and M.Ch. (Orthopaedics) at the University of Liverpool (1998) in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Bose, who is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (United Kingdom), has been focusing on hip resurfacing for more than 15 years. To date, he has performed more than 2,000 of the said procedure using cutting-edge methods and state-of-the-art technology. He pioneered the Delta Motion Hip technique in Asia and introduced other innovative techniques including neck capsule preserving (NCP) approach. His goal is to constantly introduce breakthrough methods to continuously improve patient outcomes and deliver exceptional patient experience.
