Dr. Khairul Faizi Mohammad is an orthopaedic surgeon at Hospital Pantai Cheras with subspecialty in foot & ankle surgery. He has been practising for more than 10 years to treat patients with a wide range of foot & ankle conditions.
The conditions that often encountered by him include plantar fasciitis, calcanea spur, ankle sprain, metatarsal fracture, accessory navicular bone of foot, joint dislocation around foot & ankle, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, and tendon and muscle rupture.
In order to treat the conditions, he performed various of procedures such as plantar fascia steroid injection, plantar fibromatosis excision, closed and open reduction with internal fixation, arthroscopy, arthrodesis, osteotomy, bunionectomy, accessory navicular bone excision, tendon transfer, and tunnel and nerve release.
Dr. Khairul completed his medical degree at Nottingham University in the United Kingdom in 1991. After that, he continued his postgraduate training in the East Yorkshire region and gained the MRCS in 2000. A year after returned to Kuala Lumpur, he pursued the Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and graduated in 2005.
Prior to joining the Hospital Pantai Cheras, Dr. Khairul was serving at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical and Specialist Centre and became the senior lecturer for foot & ankle surgery in the same university.
