Dr. Nadarajan Sudhakaran is a consultant paediatric general and urology surgeon. He specialises in paediatric and neonatal surgery as well as laparoscopic (keyhole) and thoracoscopic surgery. His services include fundoplication, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, pyeloplasty, appendectomy, and colectomy.
He graduated from the University of Wales in 1995 and obtained his membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MRCPS) in 2001.
He then pursued his paediatric surgical research fellowship at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford (2001-2003) and higher specialist training in paediatric surgery at various hospitals in the UK, including King's College Hospital, the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and University Hospital Southampton.
He was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Paediatric Surgery) of the United Kingdom in 2009. In 2016, he joined the Gold Coast University Hospital in Australia as a consultant paediatric surgeon and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Paediatric Surgery).
Dr. Sudhakaran was actively involved in teaching and training young paediatric surgeons. He conducted courses at King's College Hospital, Royal College of Surgeons (England), St. George’s Hospital, and the University of Malaya. He has also been invited to lecture in Myanmar, Indonesia, and London.
