He subsequently joined Changi General Hospital where he served as consultant at the hospital’s respiratory and critical care medicine department as well as deputy director of its medical intensive care unit. He is also the former medical director of the advanced trauma life support (ATLS) centre at Singapore Armed Forces. . He held various teaching positions at General Changi Hospital before going into private practice.
