Dr. Nikolle Tan is a consultant eye surgeon at the Asia Eye Centre Cataract & Retina Specialist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre. She has subspecialty interests in retinal diseases and is highly skilled in the treatment of simple and complex cataracts.
Dr. Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS degree in 1997 and Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2002. She then pursued her specialty training in ophthalmology at the National University Hospital and subspecialty training in vitreoretinal diseases at Schepens Eye Research Institute in the United States and the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Australia.
In 2005, she was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) and Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS).
Diagnosing diseases of the Retina requires highly technical equipment and complex investigations. Treatments require extreme precision, and often involve microsurgical procedures. Dr. Tan's expertise in diagnosing and treating these complex disorders makes her one of the leaders in this field.
