Dr. Peter Ting graduated from the National University of Singapore where he completed his degree in medicine. Following his graduation in 1999, he pursued higher learning and completed his internal medicine training, paving the way for him to become a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK in 2002. He also completed a specialty training in general cardiology at the National Heart Centre in Singapore. He then received scholarships to train in preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation as well as advanced adult echocardiography at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (MAHI) in Canada. His training has equipped him with in-depth knowledge and skills to improve the accuracy of assessing heart function and diagnosing artery narrowing without using ionizing radiation. He also gained expertise in using newer 3-D echocardiography techniques in surgical and minimally invasive treatments.

Upon his return to Singapore, Dr. Ting joined the National Heart Centre and became a part of the team that pioneered the mitraclip implantation in the treatment of mitral valve regurgitation. In 2012, he received another training grant that sent him to the prestigious Harvard University in the US where he pursued his Masters in Public Health.

Prior to joining the Harley Street Center, Dr. Ting was an adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS graduate medical school, a senior clinical tutor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and core faculty for the Singhealth cardiology residency program at Singapore General Hospital. Due to his exceptional educational and training background as well as numerous achievements, Dr. Ting is considered an authority in his field. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both local and international scientific meetings.

Dr. Ting is a certified clinical exercise specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine. He is also board certified in cardiovascular computed tomography, also in the United States. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the ASEAN College of Cardiology, and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
