Robert Ashton is one of the podiatrists at the Osteopathy & Podiatry Centre on Orchard Road, Singapore. He has over 15 years of experience and currently focuses on sports podiatry, biomechanics, and paediatric podiatry. He is an avid snowboarder, runner, and wakeboarder, and has participated in various professional sporting events in South East Asia. However, following his multiple shoulder injuries and after undergoing two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repairs, he was forced to slow down. This has helped him achieve a greater understanding of the rehabilitation process and to fully understand the unique demands of an active lifestyle. He strives to help his patients effectively meet these needs and demands by combining his vast experience and clinical knowledge with the latest methods and techniques in podiatry. He also collaborates with other specialists, such as osteopaths and massage therapists, to provide holistic and comprehensive healthcare to all his patients.
Robert’s qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science (Podiatry) from Charles Stuart University (Australia). He also completed the RockTape Course. He served at a private clinic in New South Wales before he joined Singapore General Hospital for four years where he gained substantial experience in a broad scope of podiatric practice.
The Osteopathy and Podiatry Centre is a private clinic conveniently located on Orchard Road, Singapore’s retail and entertainment hub. It brings together the expertise of internationally trained osteopathy and podiatry specialists as well as dietitians and massage therapists to address a wide range of foot and lower limb injuries, pain conditions, postural problems, and sports-related injuries. Its goal is to provide long-lasting pain relief and long-term solutions so patients are able to enjoy an active lifestyle and better quality of life. The clinic strives to be at the forefront of value-based care, innovation, and technology and constantly works on redefining healthcare standards to continuously improve patient outcomes and experience. The Osteopathy & Podiatry Centre was the first private clinic in Singapore to implement the 3D scanning technique to obtain accurate measurements for the creation of orthotics. The clinic has its own laboratory in Australia where custom-made orthotics are manufactured using only industry-approved materials and advanced technologies. The clinic, which is driven to be recognised as the go-to clinic for anyone who seeks state-of-the-art facilities, relaxed environment, internationally trained specialists, and friendly staff, does not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions and customises its therapies and treatment programs based on each patient’s unique condition, physiology, and lifestyle needs. Its specialists commonly cross-refer within the centre as well as to specialists outside of the centre as they strive to provide the best possible care for patients.
